By Kotak Securities:

Check out what's weakening the Emerging Markets & how India can expect growth.
  1. Emerging Markets - What’s hot? What’s not?

  2. Emerging markets are on a weak wicket because of darkening global outlook & tumbling commodity prices

    • 2016: The IMF cut its growth forecast for developing and emerging market economies by 0.2 percentage points to 4.1 %
    • 2017: Projections lowered by 0.1 percentage point to 4.6 %

  3. What’s weighing on these economies?

    1. Falling commodity prices
    2. Declining investment growth
    3. Plunge in trade

  4. Thumbs down

    1. Brazil and Russia projected to shrink by 3.8% and 1.8% respectively in 2016
    2. African countries weakened due to declining commodity prices and tightening global conditions for financing

  5. Thumbs up

    1. India is a "bright spot" and is expected to grow by 7.5 %, says IMF
    2. IMF raised its 2016 growth forecast for China by 0.2 percentage points to 6.5 % on the back of stimulus plans
